Do you support a 2am cease serving of alcohol in Manly venues?

Wed 29 April

A great day today as the community through Rob Stokes, Pittwater Council and the passionate Friends of Currawong have saved a beautiful part of the world that should never be open to development. Currawong has been preserved and we should all stand and applaud today a decision that frankly should never have gone to the Minister in the first place.

It is an example of people power having an impact and no matter how apathetic or disillusioned you feel, the victories of Currawong, and in Manly the provision of a new Fast Ferry, show that if people are willing to fight the Government, it can provide results  ...

Cheers

Mike

I've never been to Currawong, but I have read several heartfelt pleas from people who have stayed there.
Sometimes it is best to keep it simple. If the place has basic facilities but is beautiful and peaceful then a modern and bigger development will undoubtedly change that character, even if it is labelled as an "eco village".
There are plenty of other modern developments; it will be good to see that this one will be subject to the judgement of the local council, rather than a state minister with potentially ulterior motives.

Currawong
This is a great day. To be able to keep this "village" that has been under threat since Labour Council sell off. Terrific keep the place simple, economically friendly and as it is fitting for holidays for future generations.
