The competition aims to transform the temporary fencing around The Carlton construction site (corner of Pittwater Road and Carlton Street, Manly) into a display of artwork that relates to ‘Manly Village Life’. Organisers hope to see a celebration of the local natural environment (e.g. the ocean, lagoon, bushland, wildlife), urban environment, café culture, lifestyle, people, architecture, heritage and the overall spirit of Manly. The competition is a great opportunity for young people interested in graffiti to display their artwork in a legitimate way. Submissions should be emailed in a PDF or jpeg format to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it as soon as possible. Selected artists will be invited to complete their artwork on a 1.2m wide x 2.4 m high panel of the fencing where it will be displayed until at least December. The artworks will then be auctioned and the proceeds donated to charity. Categories include:
