The Keneally Labor Government is the least popular state or territory government in the nation among small business, with support dropping even further over the past quarter, Shadow Treasurer Mike Baird said today. The Sensis Business Confidence Index of small and medium enterprises released today revealed the NSW Keneally Labor Government was one of only two state or territory governments with declining support. “Confidence in the NSW Keneally Labor Government has been in steady freefall for some time and today’s survey confirms business has lost all faith,” Mr Baird said. “Today’s survey shows NSW experienced the largest drop in business confidence this quarter and is again the worst in the nation. “Support for the Keneally Labor Government’s policies recorded the lowest result in the country, with support dropping another three points over the past three months. “While the Treasurer and Premier attempt to cherry pick statistics to spin their way out of solving the State’s problems, they can’t spin this one. “Business confidence in NSW has been rock bottom for 24 of the past 25 quarters – it is a trend the Keneally Labor Government can’t ignore. “Without business confidence, there is no investment, no employment and no economic growth. “We urge the Keneally Labor Government to adopt the NSW Liberals & Nationals’ plans to make NSW number 1 again. “Our Jobs Action Plan is unashamedly about providing the incentives business is looking for to create 100,000 jobs, which will take the State forward.” MEDIA: Lisa Harrington - 0406 726 880
