Fix the Spit Run! - Join Mike as he races the Spit/Military Road traffic to highlight the need for Government action to fix congestion on the corridor. Mike will be starting the run outside Balgowlah Boys High School at 7:40am and will finish at the Oaks in Neutral Bay.

Seaforth TAFE meeting - Mike met with the Minister for Planning Frank Sartor, the Mayor of Manly Dr Peter Macdonald, the General Manager of Manly Council Henry Wong, Landcom and the Dept of Education and Training to discuss the community plebiscite on the future of the site.

Ferry Forum - Mike asked Transport Minister John Watkins to attend a forum to hear the views of local commuters on the future of the Manly ferry and jetcat service. More than 100 people attended to have their say before the Government makes major changes to the service as a result of the recent ferry inquiry.

 
Thursday 29 November

New hospital meeting - Peninsula MPs, Mike Baird, Rob Stokes and Brad Hazzard met with Health Minister Reba Meagher to discuss progress on the new Northern Beaches hospital. The following day the Health Minister announced the State Government would go ahead with the acquisition of the Frenchs Forest properties needed to build the hospital. 

 
Monday 19 November

Brisbane public transport visit - Mike and Shadow Minister for Transport Gladys Berejiklian review Brisbane's ferry and bus system to see first hand what Sydney can learn from Brisbane's experience. Since Brisbane's ferry service was restructured four years ago, patronage has risen from 3.6 million to 6.1 million passenger trips per year.

 
Friday 16 November

Primary School Captains morning tea - Mike hosts school captains from primary schools in the Manly area for morning tea at Parliament House. The captains share what they would do if they were Premier for the day.

 
Tuesday 13 November

High School Captains dinner - Mike hosts dinner at Parliament House with  school captains from high schools in the Manly area.

 
Friday 19 October

Science Expo win - Manly Selective Campus students and Mike won top prize in a science competition held at Parliament House, competing against students and their MPs from across NSW.
